SolutionSeeing a need for higher performing packaging, particularly in the food industry, Aspen Research developed a new technology based on the cyclodextrin molecule. The molecule, when added to polymers and other packaging or container materials, captures a high level of the off-odors and contaminants that migrate through the package wall. This significantly improves the product quality, as well as eliminates the odors released by the product inside. While the molecule has existed for decades, no one has been able to viably produce the type of packaging. Aspen created a company in joint with another firm, resulting in CellResin Technologies. CellResin now serves major food packaging companies. |
