ChallengeA manufacturer of a new polymer needed to improve a quality control method to determine residual solvent and monomer content in the finished product. The current method required a time consuming extraction - cleanup - analysis protocol. SolutionAspen's chemist were able to design a new analytical protocol that used thermal conditioning followed by headspace GCMS analysis that resulted in a method with superior precision. The new protocol also reduced sample preparation time, and higher sample throughput. |
